Before I Had a Husband

Hey friends,

I’ve been tagged by the lovely Aby from You Baby Me Mummy, a wonderful family / lifestyle blog with lots of blogging tips & inspiration thrown in to boot.

The subject this time is ‘Before I had a Husband’.  Unlike Aby I met my husband quite late on.  I kissed quite a few frogs before meeting Jon, so when I met him I just knew immediately he was the one.  He treated me so differently to the other guys I’d been out with, he (for want of a better word) courted me & swept me off my feet.  He treated me like a princess, took me out for lavish meals & bought me a red rose for every month we were together.  At 10 months he gave me 10 red roses & proposed on NYE 2007 with a beautiful diamond & white gold ring.

He spends every day of his life making sure I’m happy.  He wants the best for me & loves me unconditionally.  We met when I was 29, got married at 31 & had our children at 33 & 35.  We will have been married 7 years in October & I’ve never been so happy & settled.

– Before I Had a Husband I was living alone

– Before I Had a Husband I partied a lot

– Before I Had a Husband I was pretty lonely

– Before I Had a Husband my relationships lasted 3 months at most

– Before I Had a Husband my friends were my saving grace & my biggest priority

– Before I Had a Husband I wondered if I would ever meet ‘The One’

– Before I Had a Husband I wondered if I would ever achieve my dream of having children

– Before I Had a Husband I didn’t know it was possible to be loved & accepted, just as I am

– Before I Had a Husband I didn’t go to Church regularly

– Before I Had a Husband all my holidays were abroad

– Before I Had a Husband I dreamed of having a family of my own

– Before I Had a Husband life was abit chaotic

– Before I Had a Husband I lacked maturity & stability

– Before I Had a Husband I had never been romanced

– Before I Had a Husband I’d never been given a bunch of flowers

– Before I Had a Husband I didn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day

– Before I Had a Husband I had a career (or should that be Before I Had Children!)

– Before I Had a Husband I had no idea how to love the way we’re made to love another

– Before I Had a Husband I had no idea what it was like to be loved the way you’re meant to be loved

– Before I Had a Husband I only had myself to think about

– Before I Had a Husband I wanted more than anything, to have a husband.

Thanks Aby, it’s so great to celebrate Jon & all he has changed & meant to me.  I’ve never regretted my choice & I love him to the moon & back.
