Belle is due her second precious baby in October! The amigos decided to throw Belle a surprise baby shower. Erin, Jen, Em, Carol and Beryl and I were attendees and had such a lovely couple of hours having afternoon tea!
Belle had an inkling though, and was a good sport as we shouted SURPRISE! It was lovely to have just her best friends together for an intimate party.
Jen suggested the venue as she’d heard good reviews for English afternoon tea, the hotel is called The Grange at Oborne near Sherborne, Dorset. We all thought it was excellent and the perfect place to throw a shower.
Erin was the main organiser and it was all so beautiful, I love how she pulled it all together and we all think she would make an excellent party planner.
With any party its the little touches that make all the difference. We had:
- Mini succulent/stamped place setting covered with lace placed on top of vintage danish lace doilies.
- Pretty flowers in white pots
- ‘Hello World’ banner, tissue paper fans, confetti balloons.
- Tiny feet table confetti
Gorgeous afternoon tea and a room to ourselves to play baby games and shower Belle in baby gifts.
There were plates filled to the brim with sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries! The food was plentiful and we couldn’t eat it all. Belle especially enjoyed the Bakewell slice, her fave!
We chatted, ate and drank tea (and prosecco for a few) and celebrated our precious friend having a baby! We are all so excited to meet the latest amigo which is due in October!
What I wore: a steal – my new boho-style top* snagged in the Topshop sale, my Topshop high-rise plum jeans* and if you look hard enough my avacado joke socks – ‘AvoCardio’ with avocados working out, ha! I put lots more on my Instagram Stories if you’d like to see more day to day stuff.
The amigos loved showering our sweet friend and now we can’t wait to meet you baby P!!
