Finding out ‘the story behind…’ is one of my passions in life – a passion shared with Corton Denham-based entrepreneur Carly from Another Little World (ALW) – an organic beauty experience set in the beautiful green countryside.
Overlooking rolling hills on a sunny Saturday morning in Dorset, ALW opened the doors for their first ‘Meet the Creator’ event, with Chloe Luxton of Bramley Skincare.
The basis of my interview series S E L E C T E D delves into ‘the story behind…’ and weaves the journey with questions about how the idea of a product or business was born and the ethos and the heart that we are all dying to find out about. ‘Meet the Creator’ has a similar ethos. Provenance and philosophy are important.
The scene was set in a newly opened space; The Green Barn.
The Green Barn extends the holistic approach to beauty and health on offer at ALW, including yoga and other wellness based treatments.
Hearing from Chloe Luxton (Bramley Skincare) was a joy; learning how she started out, the ideas she has, the process she goes through. We learnt about the ecological importance of what we put down our drains and what we put on our skin.
Learning and adjusting when a new line of thinking arises, means that Bramley products and packaging are the most ethical they can possibly be.
Chloe has worked with a local Somerset apothecary to launch Bramley, using the plants from the countryside to promote wellbeing and fragrance.
Thank you to ALW for hosting this fascinating event, giving us a peek behind the scenes at a growing business with a passionate woman at the helm.
