Feast & Ferret

Hey friends,

Welcome to Feast & Ferret.  Can you believe it’s October already?  We are well into ‘school run’ life now and Master H is loving school.  Not long until Half Term and another trip to Cornwall!

In home news we had a wood burner installed. I am so excited.  As a real home lover it’s the home improvement I’ve been most excited about to date. Going by the reaction on my photo’s you all love a good fire too!

The timing of the installation has worked out perfectly for us going into the colder months, I might never go out again.  Blog posts from now on will consist of ‘by the fire’ recipes and movies that make you glad you stayed in and be hash tagged with #letsstayhome.

FEAST // BACON AND PUMPKIN SPAGHETTI

Pumpkins and Bacon Spagetti

This week’s Feast is a Bacon and Pumpkin Spaghetti recipe shared by Annie on her blog Mammasaurus.  I love Annie’s photographs she’s a real talent.

This Jamie Oliver recipe from the Jamie Oliver Magazine so that’s a win in my eyes as I love him, we have a few of his cookbooks and love them all.  I find Jamie’s recipes so wholesome and yummy and I love him as an ambassador for healthy nutritious food for the whole family.

I may have to look at getting this magazine. It can be bought at a discount price at the moment so take at look at the website if you’re interested.

I love pumpkin and hubby loves bacon so I can’t wait to make this for a weekend treat, with our feet up in front of the wood burner and cosy toes. I’m going to pile that pasta high friends, hallejuah!

FERRET // PANDORA GIFT

Yesterday I checked out the PANDORA store that opened a few months ago in Yeovil’s Quedam Centre.  I shouldn’t have gone in friends because it’s all beautiful and it happened to be ‘gift’, you all know what happens when it’s gift don’t you?

As soon as I found out that I could get a FREE stirling silver bracelet from Pandora with a spend of £125 I had a look round the very pretty store and soon found a ring I loved.  I bought a ring very similar to this one in Tiffany and Co in New York but took it back because it was too bulky for my little fingers.  This one was perfect for me and I’m chuffed to bits with it.  To take me over the £125 I also saw a beautiful charm for a friend who already has a bracelet so I bought it for her as a gift.

PANDORA final

I had the choice of 5 different silver bracelets including a solid silver bangle, the chunkier MOMENTS chains and the more delicate ESSENCE chains.  All Pandora silver is 925 stirling silver.  I really ummed and ahed over which to get as I really loved the ESSENCE range which take the more delicate beads and charms but on the day the MOMENTS 17″ with heart clasp won the day.  Worth £55 it’s a freebie I’m chuffed to bits with!

Considering my hubby is always on at me for gift ideas, he now has Pandora charms or beads as his ‘go to’ gift for me from now on.  This ring is also my 7 year wedding anniversary gift from him so he’s chuffed that’s done and dusted with minimal effort from him and I’m happy!

The girls in the Yeovil Pandora shop are super nice, knowledgeable and the store itself is light, bright, easy to get around with a buggy and well laid out.

The PANDORA Gift promotion runs nationwide from now until 4th October so head down to your nearest store now for the full experience or you can shop online too.

Have a great weekend friends, we’re taking the kids to the gym.  Let me know what you’re up to in the comments.
