I’ve had so many a-ha moment recently it’s quite hard to keep up with them all.
If you follow me on social media you’ll know that after I decided to un-monetise my blog that I got a job pretty quickly after that. Isn’t it funny how that happens when we move out of our own way?
As a christian I put my trust in God for my future and really felt that the verse Proverbs 31:10-31 (NIV) was important. I fasted and prayed and literally on that day a job at Goose Slade Farm Shop fell into my lap after a conversation I had at church with a friend.
This job is absolutely perfect for me in terms of hours, who I’m with every day and the values of the business which align with my own values. Local produce, community, relationships and humble work. This is seriously the most hygge place I’ve ever worked and I love it.
It also means I’m contributing the ‘fun stuff’ to our household, the cinema trips, holidays and days out and I’m really happy about that.
Have you heard of hygge? My sister Rosie brought me a book called The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking last Christmas and I joined a hygge group on Facebook. I’m not a massive fan of Facebook which IS NOT HYGGE in my humble opinion.
I am prone to scroll and I find it really unhealthy. So I hang out in a couple of groups which is where I feel most happy. It’s taken a while to find like minded people online.
I have gotten a couple of pen pals from the group which is VERY HYGGE! So I’ve already written to them (one in Texas and the other in Canada) and can’t wait to get letters back from across the world.
Also on social media I shared that I went to a hotel opening in Bath. It was quite a swanky event and me and Jon were rubbing shoulders with Bath elite business people, rugby players, celebrities and even got to play petanque which was so much fun. From there we went to Prezzo in an old train shed, as it was our 9 year wedding anniversary. The hotel is just what Bath needs and me and Jon definitely want to stay there one day.
I also want to share my anxiety journey with you and that I don’t suffer with it anymore, praise God! I hope that by sharing my healing journey with you (and it has been a JOURNEY!) that it will be an encouragement to you if you suffer with anxiety! However, it’s quite a long story so I’ll write another post sometime, let me know if this interests you guys and I’ll get writing!
This song is MY SONG since my healing…
In the meantime I hope you’re having a lovely autumn.
