A WINTER WALK WITH TRESPASS

We love living so close to the countryside.  In our old market town, we have rolling Somerset hills at our feet as well as the convenience of mass shopping and leisure.

Coming from a farming background, I’ve always felt so blessed to be part of a small town with the countryside and public footpaths so close by.

As a family we love nothing more than to pull on our wellies for a yomp over the fields close to our home.  However, when we go down the bridle path and up over the field we’re no longer protected from the elements as much.  It can get pretty windy up there too on a blustery day.

It was really sunny for our walk, after all the grey windy days it lovely to get some sun even if it was still chilly.

I’m wearing a womens waterproof parka by Trespass, isn’t it lovely? It’s lightweight and so comfortable.  Windproof, breathable and waterproof with cold heat insulation too which got tested on our walk over the fields in the wind it was cold, my hands were freezing, and the rest of me was toasty warm.

The coat comes a detachable hood with faux fur trim!  I love the hood and the herringbone design.

We met these guys in the field.  Is it bad that a part of me just loves the black sheep!?  I liked this guy.

I love sheep, I remember feeding them when I was growing up at my grandparents farm and it creates a warm memory for me.

Because the sheep were in, there was an electric fence around the perimeter and this made our walk a lot shorter than usual due to our little bolter!  My heart couldn’t take it, these guys took us in their stride though! I think we were probably a source of entertainment for them.

I had to run after the kids trying to steer them away from the animals, dealing with tantrums, lifting them over the low electric fence and down the steep steps.  My Trespass coat was easy to move in which is so important as a mum.  I love it and it makes a welcome addition to my winter wardrobe.

  1. I have a really similar coat from Trespass – if not the same one! It’s brilliant for the school run etc. I was so fed up of walking up the hill to Katie’s preschool in the wind and rain – my old coat could never quite cope so I was left cold and damp. I’m now toasty warm!

Love the sheep pic and think it’s brilliant that Katie still has her princess dress on! #CityCountryLife

  2. Looking gorgeous Lizzie and I love the coat! I remember when Estella used to go everywhere dressed in costume, just like Katie. In fact she’d probably still do it now if she didn’t have to wear school uniform most days 🙂 The photo of her curls, holding hands is adorable! #CityCountryLife
