Ad: 2019 Winter Wonderland at Wookey Hole | Fun for the whole family

Wookey Hole Caves and Attractions invited us to their snowy Winter Wonderland experience running until 5th Jan 2020! The children met Santa Claus and we visited the incredible caves. All words and opinions are my own and 100% honest. Thank you for supporting the brands that make this blog possible!

Our last visit to Wookey Hole back in 2015 took our breath away, Harry was 5 years old and Katie a dinky 2 and a half! Read my post here.

Katie took Elf everywhere with her.

First things first, we headed straight into Winter Wonderland past a wonderful vintage-esqe festive display of reindeer, snowmen, a nativity with Christmas music playing outside. A beautiful Christmas Tree. Setting the scene perfectly and Katie was especially excited and ran towards the door. She couldn’t wait to meet Santa Claus.

Meandering through Winter Wonderland we saw fluffy winter animals, some that moved! And snowy scenes capturing the essence of Christmas. It was enchanting.

Both children loved the present conveyor belt.

Finally, Katie got her wish and we met Santa!! He asked where we thought he lived with his elves and Mrs Claus. Harry immediately said LAPLAND, which was correct. “So many children think I live in the North Pole, but it’s too cold there” he boomed with twinkly eyes!

The kids loved chatting with Santa and the helpful elf. The gifts were perfect for their age; a Jibber Jabber game for Harry and a Shopkins notebook and pencil set for Katie. Adorable. And they were chuffed to bits.

Every ceiling and wall adorned with huge baubles and extra decoration, dialling up the sparkle factor x1000.

We moved up the hill to the caves. I remember being in awe of the caves last time and it didn’t disappoint! Our tour guide was excellent and the caves were decorated for Christmas too! Just beautiful.

The tour was really interactive and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it! Remember to wear sensible footwear, not Crocs as there are puddles on the floor.

Harry loved coming out of the caves through the cheese store, we’re all cheese lovers and the Cave Aged Cheddar is to die for. He loved Dinosaur Valley and excavating old dinosaur bones. He loved this last time to. The cave diving also captured his adventurous imagination and he watched the history of cave diving inside the caves! I foresee Harry loving Wild Wookey Adventure Caving when he’s old enough to participate.

With over 20 attractions at the world famous Wookey Hole Caves and Attractions there really is something for everyone and we thoroughly enjoyed our family day out.

Winter Wonderland is on now until 5th January 2020!

With thanks to Wookey Hole for a lovely family experience.
