Welcome to Share the Joy!
This week we were thrilled to be invited to an evening with celebrity chef Lesley Waters, Wyke Farms and Furleigh Estate wines.
Lesley runs a cookery school on the Somerset/Dorset borders, she is a really warm person who emanates joy and energy. She demonstrated 3 cheesy recipes and the hashtag for the evening was a very clever #cheesemas which made us chuckle, I love a play on words. It was a really fun evening and I loved circulating clutching a prosecco and chatting to food blogger Helen Upshall and Single Slummy Mummy Jo and her daughter Belle!
Jon wore his new wood watch from JORD and he loves it. I must admit it is quite swish. Read my review and get a 25% gift card, it’s linked up as my host post of the week!
Every time I meet someone, like Lesley, who has found what they love and do it everyday, it confirms to me how important it is that I love what I do as a job. The energy that came from her was infectious.
For the last 6 years I’ve spent my time solely raising my children, for the last 6 years that was me, that’s what I did. Now my preschooler is away from me for 20 hours a week it would be easy to wallow in self pity and the part time empty nest syndrome, I could wander around listlessly around town not knowing what to do with myself going from coffee shop to coffee shop. Instead I have immersed myself in this blog and looking outwards, learning from others and implementing positive changes like gratitude and organising my time in a productive way.
Gathering motivation and inspiration from likeminded people is key. I am easily influenced and always have been, so I have to be mindful who I choose to let influence my easily swayed mind.
I love that I am designing a life I love, making me a better mummy for my children when they return home after a day at school and preschool. A mum who loves life is one who has happy children, do you agree?
Right, on to the link up!

Michelle has asked me to step in and host for her while she creates some exciting new courses and free resources for busy mamas and bloggers – and I can’t wait to read all your fabulous posts!
Bloggers, writers, artists, poets, if creating something made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile – you’re welcome here.
Link up and share your creations with a wider audience. All genres are welcome – new or old favourites and as many links as you like.
Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s Share the Joy link up (I’ll be adding my picks to Michelle’s Pinterest Board where you’ll find all our favorites in one place). Last week I loved: Pop Up Camper Makeover by Maybe It’s Just Me.

Ok, let’s Share the Joy!
Here’s a reminder of the 3 really simple rules…
1) Link up a creation that has brought you JOY – all genres are welcome, new or old favourites and as many links as you like!
2) Link back either by including the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this Share the Joy linky page in your own post.
3) Please comment on one of your hosts’ posts and a few others. Let’s Share the JOY through commenting as well as through our posts!
Share the Joy will run for a whole week until the following week’s linky is open, so you’ll never be too late. And don’t forget to tweet me (@lizzie_roles) and Michelle (@MReevesCoaching) the URL to your post using the hashtag #sharethejoylinky so we can retweet it.
Feel free to invite your friends to join in – JOY is always better when it’s shared!
Have a great week and thanks again for linking up
